Amy Winehouse

This is British soul singer Amy Winehouse,24 years old. She had won five Grammy Awards in February and enjoyed commercial success with her album Back To Black. However, her personal life is a struggle. Her health was deterioriating too. Doctor said her lung condition is getting worst and she will die if she continues smoking and doing drugs. His father said that she has irregular heartbeat and all her conditions were brought on by smoking cigarettes and crack cocaine. In June 2008, it was confirmed that Winehouse has developed early signs of emphysema, an irreversible degenerative condition.

Winehouse has an addiction for alcohol and drugs including crack cocaine. Her battles with substance abuse and erratic behaviour has been the subject of much media attention. During various interviews, she had admitted to problems like self-harm, depression and eating disorders. Winehouse has gone in and out of rehabilitation -- In late January 2008, she entered a rehabilitation facility for a two week treatment program. To assist Winehouse on her road to recovery, his father had also called on drug dealers to stop supplying drugs to her daughter.

Alcohol and wine if put to good use, can add more flavours and fragrance to food. But to consume more than what the body can take is no good for our health.
