A talented man, Elton is an English singer-songwriter, composer and pianist. Elton John is the most enduringly successful singer/songwriter of his generation. Selling over 200 million records, this make him one of the most successful artists of all time. He is considered the 319th richest British person!

Elton John's love for music began when he was as young as four years old. He took up piano lessons and his natural talent eventually shone through. He won a scholarship with the Royal Academy of Music at the age of 11.

Elton has sustained an inimitable career over more than 35 years, scoring at least one Top 40 American hit single a year between 1970 and 1999. Between 1969 and 2005, his 50 albums produced 86 hit singles. In addition to his rock discography, Elton has written several movie soundtracks. The most famous of which was for 1994's The Lion King -- Can You Feel The Love Tonight. This is my favourite song. In 1994, he won the Best Original Song for "Can You Feel The Love Tonight". Another nice song by him is Candle In The Wind, which he had sung at the funeral of Princess Diana in 1997, and the song went on to become an international best-seller.
